Marathon Training Starts

Hello. Today was a strength training day. I woke up and did 4 rounds of 10 reps of arms and 4 rounds of 10-12 sets of core workouts.

I have discovered core is really important to keep running. The more I can rely on my core to do the heavy lifting on hills the more hills I can do. I also do some leg work (not today) to engage my poor knees.

A lesson I learned from my last go around with the marathon is strength training is just as important as running in preparing for race day.
