Chinese Cultural Lesson Eight

So today we are going to discuss something that is cultural and also helpful! How to do some self study when it comes to Chinese Language. I know that this is something I have been struggling on.

Let’s start out with note books. I have read a lot of different articles and seen many images and I have to say that there is no best way to do it. I am a fan of bullet journaling so I tend to set mine up a little like that. The order I tend to follow is thins:
1. Goals Page
2. Vocabulary section
3. Grammar section
4. Progress page (to make myself feel better)

The next part is getting some reading in! This can be hard too because when you are (like myself) then you need some books with the Pinyin in it. What I do is read children’s books. Fairy tales, myths, and the like. The stories are fun and they give ya a lot of practice when you want some understanding. They can be found online at most stores

Listening, the final part in the language is probably the easiest to find but they hardest to do. On Youtube there are a ton of shows in Mandarin and music and such. It can be hard because when you start there is a limited understanding, BUT it can be super helpful to stick through and just let it roll.

I hope this helps! If you have any advice for me let me know below.

Love,
Mark Oliver Wizard Goldstein
